How does the Airvet membership work?

With a membership to Airvet, you can rest easy knowing your pet family is prepared for anything that might come your way. Your membership benefit gives you access to unlimited 24/7 visits with our team for help whenever and wherever you need it!

In order to access your membership benefits, you must install the Airvet mobile app. Once downloaded, sign up for an account and follow the on-screen prompts to enter your employee account information (this could be your work email address, employee ID, etc) and activate your benefit.

How much does Airvet cost? 

Depending on your employer, Airvet may either be provided as a fully sponsored benefit, or as a voluntary benefit provided at a highly discounted rate. If you're unsure which applies to you, reach out to our team at [e-mail] and we'd be happy to provide more information.

What is the value of Airvet?

What level of experience do vets on Airvet typically have?

Vets on Airvet come from all sorts of backgrounds and experience; all of them hold an active license in at least one state, and most also actively work in clinics across the country so they stay up to date on all of the latest and greatest information to best care for your pets!

Can Airvet connect me with a specialist?

Airvet has many care providers who specialize in or are familiar with a multitude of different topics ranging from nutrition and behavior to dermatology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and more. If you’d like to connect with a vet who has specific knowledge around a particular topic, email [e-mail].

Is it possible to “favorite” a vet?

It’s not currently possible to favorite a vet; however, every video visit will stay open for 72 hours to allow you to continue messaging with the vet to ask any follow-up questions you may have! 

Additionally, you can always reach out to [e-mail] at any time if you need to reconnect with a vet who offers help for a particular species or specialty and we’d be happy to help.

Does Airvet cover in-person services like vaccines or X-rays?

Your Airvet benefit covers unlimited access to virtual veterinary care, 24/7, including nights, holidays and weekends. While there is a lot that can be done through a telehealth visit, there are some situations that simply require in-person help. Airvet does not cover in-person care, but our veterinary experts are here to consult you after your in-person visits to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Does Airvet provide recommendations for nearby clinics if I have to be seen in-person?

Yes, if it’s recommended that your pet still be seen in-person, we can help you to find a clinic nearby!

Can I have an Airvet membership if I have pet insurance?

Yes! An Airvet membership can be a great complement to the ongoing coverage you receive with your pet insurance.
